Course Outline:
This is a one year course containing a significant number of practical elements which will involve you working as both an individual and in a team. You will complete a range of tasks that will build upon your practical skills and knowledge.
Throughout this year long course you will have the opportunity to gain two national qualifications as shown below.

Target Level: Any student gaining a National Curriculum level 3 or better in Design and Technology.
Level of Award:
The Bronze Stem Award - You could be awarded a pass, merit or distinction.
OCR Entry level certificate - You could be awarded a level 1, level 2 or level 3.

End of Course Target:

This course involves learning about textiles and how they affect different people. You get to design and make your own products and you can develop your skills.
If you enjoy designing, making and creating, then this is the course for you. It involves garment making, wall hangings etc.
Textiles involves theory and practical work. If you are hard working your results will be good. You have to be prepared and organised.
