Course Outline: This is an exciting combination of courses for students who love the arts and wish to study Art and Drama at GCSE Level. It is a three year course which will be split between the two subjects resulting in 2 GCSEs, one in Art and Design and another in Drama.
Both subjects comprise 60% course work and 40% exam; they are both highly practical subjects that will compliment each other and are suitable for a range of ability levels as long as there is a genuine interest in the subjects.
Target Level: Any student gaining a level 4 or better in Art and Design and Drama, with skills and passion in the subjects.
Level of Award: Level 2 (resulting in 2 GCSES)
End of Course Target: To learn more about and work within the Arts. To study Art and Drama but use only one option pool. To learn more Art and Design techniques, practical skills and knowledge. To learn more Drama skills and techniques.
