Course Outline: This one year course will give you a practical introduction to Enterprise. You will work in teams to develop a business idea which you will showcase on a trade stand at the Technology Show. You will be entered for the Edexcel GCSE Short course in Business Studies as long as you show sufficient potential during the course. You may choose to follow this one year course into KS4 by taking other GCSE or BTEC Business courses or you may choose to only take the short course.
To gain the short course GCSE you will need to complete Unit 2 Investigating Small Business Controlled Assessment and Unit 6 Introduction to Small Business
If you wish to extend your study to the full GCSE in Year 10 you will need to complete Unit 2 Investigating Small Business Controlled Assessment and Unit 1 Introduction to Small Business
The content for Units 1 and 6 is the same (see below). The only difference is one longer response question on Unit 6.

Target Level: Any student gaining a level 4 or better in ICT and with an interest in business.
Level of Award: Level 2 GCSE Short Course.
End of Course Target: To access GCSE Business Studies - Grade C or better. To access GCSE Business Studies and Economics - Grade C or better. To access BTEC First Business, Retail & Admin - Grade C or better. To access BTEC Introductory Business, Retail & Admin - below Grade D
