Course Outline: This is a one year course where you will complete two units of the OCR Nationals course. This unit, along with your ICT work in Year 10 and 11, will mean that you can achieve two GCSEs in ICT. In Unit 2 you will design and develop a website for a specific client and in Unit 21 you will design and develop images and graphics which you will use in your Unit 2 website.
To gain a PASS (equivalent to a GCSE grade C) you will need to create a website of 5 pages, which makes use of simplistic navigation and graphics. To gain a MERIT (equivalent to a GCSE grade B) you will need to create a website of 5 pages, which makes use of interactive features such as flash buttons and also use a sensible navigation and customised graphics. To gain a DISTINCTION (equivalent to a GCSE grade A) you will need to create a professional looking website of 5 pages, which makes use of interactive features such as flash buttons and also use a well planned navigation and customised graphics.
Target Level: Any student gaining a level 4 or better in ICT.
Level of Award: Level 2 Award.
