Course Outline:
There are 3 pathways offered by English:

Target Level: Students gaining level 7 are likely to be offered the accelerated English course, whilst those students at level 4, or below, are likely follow the Foundation course in Year 9.

Level of Award:
Up to 2 GCSEs in English Language and Literature awarded by the Welsh Exam Board.

End of Course Target:
To access IB English - Grade A or A*in English Language and Literature.
To access A Level English- at least a grade C in English Language and preferably English Literature.
To access the AS Critical Thinking course- at least grade C in English Literature.
