Course Outline:
A more in depth study of living organisms covering topics introduced in the Foundation years. The course is divided into 3 modules:

Core (B1) 2 multiple choice module examinations. This module includes the study of:
Additional (B2) written 45 minute exam. This module includes the study of Cells; How plants produce food; Energy flows; Enzymes; Homeostasis and Inheritance.

Extension (B3) written 45 minute exam. This module includes the study of the Exchange of materials; Transporting substances around the body and Microbiology.

Target Level: Any student gaining Foundation Years (KS3) Level 6+ in Science.

Level of Award:
GCSE.

End of Course Target:
To access A Level Biology - Grade A* - C.
To access IBDP Biology - Grade A* - C.
