Wahoo!!  Mt meru successfully summited.  4500m is an ordeal but definitely worth it!  All 23 made it which was great and it's now time for a bit of R&R.  Safari today and relaxing by the pool for the next two days - yay.

See you soon x

Hi.  Manual labour is tough!!  Being woken up EVERY morning at 5am by the school bell and choir is not the best start to a full days hard work, shifting bucket after bucket of soil and cement!  It was all worth it though.  The school was so appreciative of the work we did and could not believe what we managed to achieve in 5 days.  The headmaster even said that he would be using the classroom we decorated as the primary meeting room from now on!  It was an extremely humbling experience working at Komakundi school - no electricity, one tap and children in floods of tears if they lost their one and only pencil.

We are currently resting in Moshi before the big Meru climb starting tomorrow - can't wait for that!  Apparently we will be on a mini-safari on the trek with giraffes and buffalo all around us.

Missing you all x

Hi Everyone\

Having a great time and OMG there are giraffes at the airport.  Looking forward to a nice shower - never thought i'd be happy with wetwipe wash.
We've been hurded into tiny buses like sardines bu it all adds to the experience.  Then when you get out of the city it's savanna, mudhuts and children just happy to be able to wave to you!
Surviving on veggie meals at the mo with no meat for 5 days!
Love you Carly and Bump
